Gates: Before Unfurling #1
The Gates of Central Park was a group of gates comprising a site-specific work of art by Bulgarian artist Christo Yavacheff and artist Jeanne-Claude. They installed 7,503 vinyl "gates" along 23 miles of pathways in Central Park in New York City. From each gate hung a panel of deep saffron-colored nylon fabric. The exhibit ran from February 12 through 27, 2005.
Beautiful Giclée prints on a slightly textured, heavy matte paper, giving an artistic quality to the image. Each print has a narrow, white border, which is included in overall print size.
